Sewing Machines will be supplied by Montavilla Sewing Centers. If you live locally, please bring your own if possible.
Using pre-fused fabrics, you will create your own, one of a kind, reusable journal covers, which fit a standard Composition Book. I also include supplies to create a smaller version as well. After you've created your design, we'll use sewing machines to easily free motion stitch. (Yes, it really is easy and it absolutely doesn't matter if you can stitch a straight line - because straight lines are NOT what we want).
Materials Fee $25 paid at beginning of class includes:
Blank composition book,
all fabrics needed (canvas for design background,
and denim for the actual book cover),
black thread for stitching, and lots and lots of pre-fused fabrics for you to choose from.
I also include smaller versions, so that you can create two sizes in the class.
Supplies Needed to bring for Class:
scissors
You are welcome to bring any flat embellishments, ribbon, or buttons that you might want to use, but I supply everything else.
